# ClawCall current REST guides

Guide revision: `7727dc44c23ef7580a3970310f2c41f419f03e001887e90de69284115c5068c7`.

These are public reference documents. Fetch guide links without authentication, cookies, or customer data, and do not follow redirects. Retain revision parameters; if any guide reports a revision mismatch, refetch the index and the needed topics together before acting.

For a new call (POST /call) or a call-preference change (PUT or DELETE /me/call-preferences), send `X-ClawCall-Guide-Revision: 7727dc44c23ef7580a3970310f2c41f419f03e001887e90de69284115c5068c7` along with the authentication described in the API contract. Examples below omit this header for readability; it is required for clients following these hosted guides.

HTTP 409 with error.code = guide_revision_mismatch and operation_started = false means the request was rejected before identity resolution or business actions. Refresh the guides and rebuild that unstarted request using the new contract. A timeout, connection failure, or any other ambiguous response does NOT prove that a call was unstarted: do not automatically repeat call creation; check known call status/history or report uncertainty.

Existing call polling, hangup, and takeover are not gated on guide revision. Keep the instructions and identifiers from call creation to finish that call. Revision checking is a freshness precondition, not historical API dispatch. Deployments must retain these existing-call operations while calls are active. Clients without a revision header retain legacy behavior.

Read overview and api-contract before every new operation, then the matching topics. Read examples before building call briefings and errors before deciding whether to retry. API formats come from these guides, not from the installed skill.
